According to Major-General Mohammed Saif Al Zafin, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, the first accident took place around 8am on Sunday in which one person was killed, while another was seriously injured when the car they were travelling in overturned on Dubai Bypass Road. The injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital.
In the second accident, five vehicles piled up following a collision on the Zabeel Road junction. Only one person was slightly hurt in the accident, which took place at 4pm on Sunday. The same day at 7pm, three cars were involved in an accident on Ittihad Road, opposite Deira City Centre, which left two people seriously injured and one with minor injuries.
In another incident, one person was seriously hurt when his car collided with another vehicle in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area at 8.30pm on Tuesday. A pickup vehicle and a car crashed into each other on the Dubai-Hatta Road at 2.30pm on Tuesday, after the driver of the former entered the street without ensuring it was clear. The driver of the car was seriously injured.
