The Dubai Police have solved the mysterious death of an African who drowned at Jumeirah Beach.
Colonel Abdullah Rashid, director of the Port Police Station, said the police were informed by a man that his friend had gone missing after swimming on the beach. He said the victim went with a group of friends, and when they decided to head back, they found the man was missing.
During interrogation it was found that the victim had a dispute with a roommate, who on the date of the crime threatened to kill him.
When the police confronted the suspect, he confessed that he pushed the victim underwater and drowned him. The suspect has been referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution.
