Delivery man jailed for groping customer

A 23-year-old Bangladeshi grocery employee, who groped a woman when he delivered items to her flat, has been sentenced to three years in jail.
The Fujairah Criminal Court also ordered the deportation of the defendant at the end of his prison term. The case dates back to May this year, when a Filipina, 28, complained to the police that the defendant touched her inappropriately when she paid him for the grocery items she had ordered. During the police interrogation, the defendant confessed to groping the woman.
Six jailed for running brothel
In another case, four women and two men were found guilty of running a brothel and sentenced to three years in jail. They will be deported at the end of their sentence. According to court records, a tenant of a multi-storey residential building complained to the police that the apartment next to his was being used as a brothel.
Plainclothes officers from the Fujairah Police verified the complaint, following which the apartment was raided.
The suspects - four Bangladeshi women and two Pakistani men - were arrested in the raid.
