The police had said on Monday that the two men were under the influence of alcohol and drugs when they visited Nasser’s house. Brigadier Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, said the two youths who were detained on Monday said they had thrown the body after he died due to drug overdose. They said they drove to the border and left the body there.
The police will refer the body to the General Department of Forensic Medicine for further investigation.
The police learnt that they had travelled with Nasser to Ajman, Al Dhaid and Al Munai, among other places, and left him in a remote area. However, they could not show the area to the police because, they said, they were too far affected by alcohol and drugs at the time.
