New Zealand choose to bowl first vs England

New Zealand won the toss and captain Daniel Vettori chose to bowl first in overcast conditions in their Champions Trophy Group B match against England on Tuesday.

New Zealand have brought in quick bowler Ian Butler for Daryl Tuffey, who has returned home with a broken hand. Opening batsman Jesse Ryder is also injured and New Zealand have recalled Gareth Hopkins in his place.

England, already through to the semi-finals, dropped fast bowler Graham Onions in favour of left-armer Ryan Sidebottom.
