Harmison, Panesar to play in Emirates Twenty20

Play begins at 10:30am with the first semi-final between Sussex and either the reigning title holders, Fly Emirates XI, or Durham on Pitch Two.

This will be followed by some quality cricketing stuff as action then switches to Pitch One at 12:30pm when a star-studded MCC XI line-up– including Indian legend Sourav Ganguly – shall face off against last year’s County Championship, Division One winners Nottinghamshire. From there, the fourth/fifth play-off place decider will get underway on Pitch Two at 2:30pm before the final at 5:30pm on Pitch One.

Aside from the main event, there will also be an U11 Kwik Cricket competition, allowing families and friends of the participating schoolchildren to come along, cheer them on and add to the festival atmosphere.

Three representatives of the Emirates-endorsed Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab shall be in attendance as well, with their newly-installed captain Adam Gilchrist, Dinesh Karthik and Shaun Marsh meeting fans and signing autographs on the day.

Tickets for the Emirates Airline Twenty20 are just Dh25, with U12 children gaining free admission (provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian).

They are available from the Promoseven Sports Marketing offices in the Emarat Atrium Building, Shaikh Zayed Road and will also be on sale at the gate at 7he Sevens ground, which is located on the Dubai-Al Ain Road just beyond Exit 29/30 on the day of the tournament.

Seating is on grass banks and spectators are being encouraged to bring along their own garden chairs and sun umbrellas.
