Half of the employees of Souq Al Haraj for Cars (Sqah) returned to their workplace on Wednesday after having functioned remotely to stymie the spread of Covid-19. Sqah announced the reopening of its facility with 50 per cent of its staff capacity, while adhering to the highest standards of safety.
Sqah, a project of Sharjah Asset Management which is an investment arm of Sharjah government, pointed out that all necessary steps will be undertaken to ensure the facility's smooth operation, including contract renewals and timely completion of transactions among others.
Majed Al Mualla, manager of Souq Al Haraj for Cars, emphasised that the health and safety of its employees and customers are extremely important and all procedures have been implemented to safeguard them. "These procedures include conducting temperature checks, ensuring everyone is wearing masks and gloves, and keeping the facility sanitised at all times."
Al Mualla added that those who do not feel comfortable stepping outdoors can benefit from the company's e-services, including the renewal of contracts remotely via smart apps, e-mails and mobiles, and through SMS. Payments can also conveniently be received via bank deposit or electronic transfer.
He pointed out that daily checks were to be conducted throughout Sqah, and measures were being taken to minimise direct customer interaction.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, Sqah has extended maximum support to those in need, including providing a three-month exemption of rent for tenant owners. The move aims to help reduce any burdens of these tenant owners, and ensure that they can continue to contribute positively towards their work in spite of the crisis.
