The health closure/isolation of Oman's capital will be lifted from Friday, May 29, the country's Supreme Committee tasked with tackling the impacts of Covid-19 has announced.
The governorate has been in a state of lockdown since April 10 to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Oman News Agency reported on Wednesday that the committee has also decided to let 50 per cent of staff to work from offices from Sunday, May 31.
This came as the committee held a meeting under the chairmanship of Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior.
The committee reiterated the leadership's appeal to residents to abide by the precautionary measures in place against the spread of Covid-19.
It urged private establishments to set policies, regulations and procedures to ensure the protection of their employees, beneficiaries and customers.
