The Ministry of Health and Prevention and Abu Dhabi's Department of Health announced on Wednesday the availability of Covid-19 virus vaccines at SEHA centres outside Abu Dhabi.
A statement issued by the Abu Dhabi Media Office today said:
'@mohapuae and @DoHSocial collaborate on a nationwide vaccination campaign to help contain and eliminate Covid-19. DOH will provide more healthcare facilities outside of Abu Dhabi offering free Covid-19 vaccines. Choose to Vaccinate today. '
Earlier, the DoH said it will launch drive-through services for people looking to take the jab soon.
A press note released by state news agency WAM said the move is being undertaken as part of the UAE's nationwide campaign to vaccinate at least half of the eligible population against Covid-19 by the end of March.
DoH will provide a number of centres, including drive through services, with Covid-19 vaccines outside of Abu Dhabi.
These will be operated by Abu Dhabi Healthcare Services (SEHA) and will increase the number of locations where Covid-19 vaccines are available nationally to 218.
Undertaken in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the vaccination drive will support ongoing efforts to strengthen immunity within the community and maintain health and safety.
