Hotpack Global, a UAE manufacturer of food packaging products, recently rolled out a mass vaccination drive for its 1,576 employees, in support of the national campaign. Its goal is to get its entire workforce vaccinated against Covid-19.
“A total of 1,326 non-executive staff, including 622 workers and 250 executives, will be vaccinated over a period of three months starting from January. We expect to complete the initiative by March and hope to administer the second dose of the vaccine to all our employees by then,” said Abdul Jebbar PB, managing director of Hotpack.
“Around 200 blue-collar workers in our factory in Umm Al Quwain received the vaccine in the first week of January.” The second dose of the vaccine is set to administered to its staff on January 23 and 27.
Hotpack has been carrying out the vaccinations at its headquarters in Dubai Investment Park and operational facilities across all emirates.
“In the Abu Dhabi factory, a total of 151 employees, including 84 factory staff and 57 trading staff, were given the vaccine. Ten were given the shot at a vaccination centre on January 20,” said Abdul Jebbar.
Talking about the importance of the initiative, he said: “Covid vaccination would be especially important to help protect our employees at a time when every individual and organisation is responsible for safety of the world. Hotpack Global has always been a champion of social responsibility initiatives. As a leading manufacturer of food packaging and hygiene products in the UAE and beyond, it is very important for us to maintain high standards of safety and hygiene at all our manufacturing locations.”
Zainudeen PB, group executive director and group general manager who received the vaccine, thanked the UAE for making the vaccines available to all. “We are excited to be part of the vaccination campaign. We are blessed to be living here in the UAE and to be able to receive the vaccines in the first stage itself and join the millions of residents who received the vaccines.”
