The Dubai Municipality shut down an eatery, a salon and two shisha cafes in the city for not adhering to Covid-19 safety protocols.
According to Emarat Al Youm, the authorities conducted 2,383 inspections of various businesses on Sunday.
Seven establishments were also fined while 31 were issued warnings for not complying with proper public health practices.
About 98 per cent businesses were found to be compliant with the precautions.
The inspectors are tasked with enforcing safety rules, include wearing masks and gloves, maintaining social distancing, frequent sanitisation and daily follow-ups on the status of workers' health.
