The authority said mobility between the countries using the citizens' national identity cards will be suspended from Friday, February 28, as part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus.
The use of passport is made mandatory to monitor the movement of individuals from the countries affected by Covid-19.

The authority said that Emirati citizens residing abroad, who left the country using a national ID, and the GCC citizens who entered the country before this decision, are excluded, adding that the decision is a temporary move in the light of the spread of Covid-19.
