The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Monday announced 832 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 1,065 recoveries.
A total of 37,884 new tests have also been conducted, the ministry added, while reporting four new deaths from the infection.

The UAE has so far conducted over 1.5 million coronavirus tests, and is steadily ramping up the testing facilities in the country to keep the public safe.

In another step in this direction, the Abu Dhabi municipality has announced that security guards at commercial and residential buildings in the emirate have been told to report visitors and residents of the premises who show symptoms of coronavirus. The municipality issued the order on Saturday after handing out 200 thermal scanners to security guards at buildings in Al Dana area of downtown Abu Dhabi. Municipal officials said they also gave out posters printed in Arabic, English, Urdu, Filipino and Chinese, detailing Covid-19 precautionary measures and the symptoms of the virus so as to stymie its spread in the community.

Dubai, meanwhile, has taken steps towards reopening of select facilities. The Jumeirah beach walk and Mamzar beach walk are now open to the public. However, it's important for the public to follow all safety precautions.
