In a statement, the ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.
The national vaccination campaign, along with government restrictions pertaining to social gatherings and strict adherence to hygiene protocols, have contributed to the decreasing number of total active cases. The number of active Covid-19 cases dropped by more than 8,000 in the last 10 days. Medics are also hopeful that the country will witness a slump in Covid-19 cases soon.
