The Bahrain health ministry has reported 687 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 736 recoveries.
Of the new cases, 133 were among expatriate workers, 550 were contacts of active cases, and four were travel related. No new deaths were reported. The death toll remains at 231.
As many as 11,708 Covid-19 tests were carried out on September 24, the ministry said, taking the total number of recoveries to 60,853.
There are currently 59 Covid-19 cases in a critical condition, and 130 cases receiving treatment. 6,558 cases are stable out of a total of 6,617 active cases.
