The Bahrain health ministry has reported 676 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 322 recoveries.
Of the new cases, 84 were among expatriate workers, 590 were contacts of active cases, and two were travel related. One new death was reported. The death toll stands at 196.
As many as 10,075 Covid-19 tests were carried out on September 5, the ministry said, taking the total number of recoveries to 50,645.
There are currently 30 Covid-19 cases in a critical condition, and 89 cases receiving treatment. 3,900 cases are stable out of a total of 3,930 active cases.
