The health ministry in Bahrain on Thursday reported 656 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 617 recoveries.
Of the new cases, 435 were expatriate workers, 218 were contacts of active cases, and three were travel related.
As many as 10,126 Covid-19 tests carried out on July 1, the ministry said.
Total recoveries now stand at 21,948.
There are currently 84 cases receiving treatment, of which 52 are in a critical condition. 5,322 cases are stable out of a total of 5,374 active cases, the ministry added.
Five new deaths were also reported, taking the total to 92.
