'Aquarabia' will offer extreme watersports zone dedicated to rafting, kayaking, canyoneering, free solo climbing and cliff jumping and more
A video has emerged online showing the group being escorted out of the facility by local health authorities and Dubai Police officials.
According to on-site volunteers, approximately 150 patients who have fully recovered from the disease were discharged from the field medical facility on Monday.
Patients were seen loudly cheering and thanking doctors and medical professionals for their service and it is said that the patients have also completed their mandatory isolation after contracting the disease.
The patients, maintaining adequate distance away from each other, were seen thanking the DHA, doctor, nurses, and other medical professionals for working 24/7 over the past few weeks. They were seen cheering and clapping loudly in support of the brave heroes who helped them recover from the deadly viral infection that has infected over 2.4 million people across the world.
It is understood that several hundred patients are being monitored by private health care providers working with local authorities in multiple isolation units within a compound of buildings in Warsan. Large teams of volunteer doctors and medical professionals are working to support local authorities.
On Saturday, the Consulate General of India announced it has undertaken one such all-male medical facility, with a capacity of 500 beds. "This is a joint effort between the Dubai Health Authority, Indian community members, and Aster DM Healthcare," said Vipul, the Consul General of India to Dubai in an earlier interview with Khaleej Times. "The Indian Business and Professional Council has been supportive as well," he added.
"The building (in Warsan) can take up to 500 patients and we are happy that several Indian doctors have come forward to volunteer their services," he added. Healthcare workers volunteered their services at the request of the Indian Consulate in Dubai and it supplements the UAE's and Dubai's efforts in battling the pandemic, said Vipul.
