Despite restrictions on large gatherings due to pandemic, a wedding ceremony was held in Kerala following which 43 guests, including the bride and groom, were left infected with Covid-19.
Samples of over 125 people, who attended the wedding in Kerala's Kasaragod district on July 17, were tested and 43 guests have tested positive for the contagion.
Authorities have asked all the guests to go into self-quarantine for 14 days and report to nearest primary health centers.
According to a report in Times Now, the Kasargod District Authority have registered a case against the bride's father Kerala Epidemic Diseases Ordinance 2020 for inviting over 50 people for the gathering.
