While the Covid-19 pandemic has swept the entire world, the UAE has taken a number of precautionary measures, on top of which is the #StayHome nationwide campaign.

The Ajman Police, to develop public awareness about the campaign, has turned the traffic lights into messages reading the words "Stay Home".

"I was driving home when the traffic signal instead of turning plain red, yellow or green, shows the words 'Stay Home'," Ahmed Saaed Al Kaabi, an Emirati national, told Khaleej Times.

Reiterating the same, Abdel Hafeez Jamal, a Palestinian resident, said he admired the move.

"It is a direct and close message to the public to stay home to curb this disease and ensure public safety."

Mohammad Al Ashqar, an Egyptian resident, said the 'Stay Home' words reminds him of the image of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father, that used to appear on the traffic light when turning green.

"This gentle reminder is so efficient and looks wonderful at the same time."
