The much hyped Drona, Abhishek Bachchan's solo film in a long time, has finally released.
While Abhishek has left no stone unturned in publicising the film calling it "his biggest film yet", we hear that he was, in fact, not so happy with the final outcome of the film. So much that he insisted on re-shooting many scenes.
Our source who was a part of the 'Drona' team discloses, "Abhishek had told Amitabh Bachchan about his being dissatisfied with the sequences already shot for Drona. In fact, he was unhappy with the way the film was shaping up. Hence Bachchan senior had a conversation with Goldie Behl asking him to make some changes by re-shooting them because of which there is a lot of continuity jerk in the film."
Our mole further adds, "We were literally fed up of trying to mix and match the sequences as they were re-shot after a gap of a few months. I was so very exhausted handling the direction department that I decided to quit the job of assisting for Drona and a little later I resumed work in another film which stars Mithun.".
However, when we asked Goldie Behl, the director of Drona, he rubbished the whole story, saying, "We did not re-shoot any sequence at all. I am close to the Bachchan family for so many years and they never like to interfere in anybody's work. Jaya aunty accepted the role without even lending her ear to the narration."
Whatever the inside story is, the verdict on the film will be out in a few hours now. And then we'll get to see how "different" Abhishek's self-confessedly 'different' film is and if it does make a superhero out of him.
