Gary Barlow is a man who keeps his word.
Making good on a promise he made last year - during a solo performance in Dubai - to return to the city along with the boys from the chart-topping group Take That, fans now have reason to celebrate as the gig has been confirmed for October 30 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.
The upcoming concert will mark the first time the veteran boy band, currently made up of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, share a stage in Dubai. The trio are supporting last year's album III, which produced the band's 12th number one single These Days. There are some notable absences, of course. Best-selling solo artist Robbie Williams and Jason Orange, who departed from the group last year, will not be taking part in the tour.
'We've always been very proud of our live shows and are very excited about performing in Dubai for the first time," the band said in a statement. Playing live is something we love the most about what we do and we're looking forward to putting on the most amazing show we can."
The band's latest Take That Live 2015 tour has caused a ticket buying frenzy across Europe after selling out 37 shows around the UK, including a record-breaking run of 11 nights at London's 02 Arena. Their live shows are unabashedly over-the-top; previous tours have included everything from aerialists, circus performers to a 60-foot walking robot.
