...in the presence of Priyanka Chopra— the actor coolly laughed it off without rushing to give any explanation.

Now that the dust has settled, was there any truth in the rumour?

“Me chasing Deepika? There is absolutely no truth in it. I have been known to be extremely cordial with people right from my school days,” he explains.

Was he disturbed by these rumours? “I was not disturbed. I guess, I am getting better in dealing with things gradually,” he adds.

Even otherwise all eyes are on him, as his debut film opposite Priyanka has just been released.

And, since it is directed by his father and produced by his mother, does he consider it an advantage to be launched by his parents?

“Of course it is. But, there is also a certain amount of built-up expectation. Not financial, but the emotional expectation that comes out of parents’ dreams. If you are the second generation in any business, you got to take the business on to the next level. And, that is the only way to justify the platform you get,” confirms the budding actor. Harman has also been the talk of the town for his spirited performance at an awards function in Bangkok.

Many may not know that Harman is a trained Kathak dancer. So, how did Kathak happen? “I have always loved dancing, so much so, that my friends believe that I was always very inspired by classical and Western dance forms. I trained under Guru Krishnan for one-and-a-half years and enjoyed it a lot. Kathak is a very expressive form of dance, rich in facial expressions, which really helps in both my dancing and acting,” he explains.

And, there can’t be an interview with Harman without talking about his relationship with Priyanka Chopra. Right? Has there been an interview where he hasn’t been asked about Priyanka?

“Well, not that this seems any different now, considering that I have been asked this question here. But no, there hasn’t been one yet,” says he.

What are the films that he is doing right now? “I am doing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Chenab Gandhi, starring Bachchanji and Vidya Balan; Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashi? Starring Priyanka; and Anees Bazmee’s It’s My Life with Nana Patekar and Genelia D’Souza. I’m also doing Manmohan Shetty’s Victory, based on cricket, with director Ajit Pal.” With a line-up of interesting films, Harman is more than excited. “I feel confident doing such different roles in the initial days of my career, where I get to show my versatility as an actor,” he says.
