Jacqueline played an alien from Venus in the recently released romantic comedy, which saw Riteish Deshmukh playing a lovable loser. The director has set his eyes on Deshmukh again and is waiting for a green light from the actor.
Written by Zaveri, this as yet untitled film is set to be an out-and-out comic entertainer and would be a two hero-one heroine film.
“Jackie is a superstar in the making, and the kind of appreciation that she has received ever since the release of Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai has justified my belief in her,” the director said.
“I didn’t have anyone else in mind when I thought of the leading lady. When I bounced off the idea for my new film with her, she was game for it. She is already on board now and the next step for me is to get the leading men in place,” he said.
Since Deshmukh has vouched for him during all these years, he is but obviously the natural choice to play one of the main leads.
“At the moment I am not even thinking of anyone else beyond him,” said Zaveri who has written films like Masti, Heyy Babyy and Housefull.
“I am quite sure that he would be stepping into my next as well but let me have a formal word with him once he is through with the promotion of Housefull.”
On her part, Jackie is happy with the progress that she is making in her career. While her item number in Housefull is being much talked about, she is also happy to be a part of the new film.
