THEY ARE THREE of Hollywood's leading ladies, which means they definitely deserve a break once in a while and what better location than Dubai?
We've got the east-meets-west fashion for newly self-made garment mogul Kate Hudson, whose HappyXNature line would seamlessly meld into the UAE's style stakes. We've beautiful desert scenery for the adventurous Zoe Saldana, who is no stranger to the country after shooting Star Trek Beyond around DXB in 2015. And for Gwyneth Paltrow - who made an appearance in the latest production from the Dubai Tourism #BeMyGuest video series - the opportunity to get to grips with the emirate's stunning beaches and perhaps even shoot another episode to add to the famous Shah Rukh Khan-led promotional clips.
Well, the three actors actually made their way to an Al Bastakiya courtyard over the weekend to sit down together and film a social media snippet, which Paltrow shared on Instagram, before the friends seemingly went their separate ways to enjoy the rest of their short holiday.
Hudson was the lead contender for "best-sharer" of the trip with two confirmed posts: the first of herself and partner, Danny Fujikawa, posing with a falcon in the dunes and the second cruising across Dubai Creek aboard an abra with stylist friend Sophie Lopez.
"Watched this beauty fly #Dubai #Falconry" captioned the initial picture. "Abra crossing @sophielopez is usually tiny enough to squeeze in anywhere but not this time ;) We tried #Abra #Souq #Dubai" accompanied the second.
Saldana kept it basic with a selfie alone in the desert during 'magic hour' where the light is near enough perfect for a mystical Arabian Nights effect. Her thoughts simply read: "#Dubai #uae" alongside a camel emoji.
Paltrow also didn't choose to go overboard on the sentiment, opining "Hi from #Dubai (say me and the jellyfish)" to annotate her picture, crouching in the surf next to her new friend.
Theories abound as to the trio's ulterior motives for being in Middle East together: ranging from business opportunities to an elaborate birthday treat for Hudson, whose special day is on April 19. What we can tell for sure, however, is all three had a typically marvellous UAE adventure.
