The Nye County district attorney filed a two-count complaint on Thursday accusing the 42-year-old Fleiss of unlawful use of methamphetamine and possession of the painkiller hydrocodone without a prescription.
Fleiss told the Las Vegas Review-Journal she has "a bit of a substance abuse problem" and said she intends to seek private treatment.
Known as the "Hollywood Madam," Fleiss was convicted in 1995 of running a prostitution ring in which models-turned-prostitutes were flown around the world to meet wealthy actors and clients who paid as much as $10,000 for a single meeting.
An after hours call to Fleiss' Pahrump, Nevada, business went unanswered on Friday.
