The Director General of DDIA, Saeed Al Muntafiq said: "The SME Exhibition for Hotels & Hospitality being organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment will offer different business opportunities for the participants in the Government Procurement Program. The main purpose of the Exhibition is to match companies registered at the Establishment with the hospitality industry here in Dubai." He added, "We are happy to have such a reputed hotel and hospitality company as Jumeirah International as the main sponsor of the event. Jumeirah International has expressed great support to the Establishment and will procure from the registered members."

Abdul Baset Al Janahi, Director, Mohammed bin Rashid Estbalishment said, "The companies will exhibit their products for all the invited hotels, government officials and the general public. The exhibitors will be 55 companies specialized in the hospitality industry. "The Establishment has offered the opportunity for member companies to exhibit free of charge, provided that the quality of their products and services are up to standard."

An integral component of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment initiative is a 5 per cent Government procurement program. Under this program, the Government has mandated that all Government departments complete at least 5 per cent of their procurement activities through companies registered with the Establishment, including companies not funded by the Establishment.

A number of private corporations have also joined the procurement scheme and have allocated 5 per cent of their internal procurement activities to companies registered with the Establishment.
