SHUAA Capital Appoints Michael Burgess as CFO

DUBAI — SHUAA Capital, the region’s leading financial services institution, on Tuesday announced the appointment of Michael Burgess as Chief Financial Officer.

Michael Burgess has a 13 year track record in accountancy and finance and extensive management experience across a broad range of finance functions worldwide. He joins SHUAA from Morgan Stanley in New York, where he was the Global Controller for the MSCI Barra division, before moving to an advisory team supporting the Fixed Income business unit on the accounting treatment of new transactions. Before moving to New York, Michael was the CFO of Morgan Stanley’s private bank in Zurich, Switzerland. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Michael worked with Lloyds TSB and Nomura Securities in London, as well as Credit Suisse First Boston’s head office in Zurich.
