Under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman of Emirates airline and Chief Executive of the Emirates Group, the Dubai Quality Group (DQG) concluded the 15th Ideas Arabia and ninth UAE Ideas Arabia 2020. The Annual Appreciation Ceremony was merged and held virtually for the first time. The DQG received 95 submissions and 57 were shortlisted for their outstanding ideas. Hassan Omar, chairman of the DQG, said: "In line with the 50-Year Development Plan of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the DQG has formed new subgroups for AI, digital transformation and futuristic. We are determined to continually achieve our vision to be the leading quality, excellence and innovation partner in the Mena region."Keynote speakers included Hus-sain Al Fardan, chair of the Ideas Arabia subgroup at the DQG; Dr Kamal Saleh, head of the jury of Ideas Arabia and UAE Ideas; Dr Arif Fadhel, chief assessor of Ideas Arabia; and Dr Anwar Hamim, chief assessor of UAE Ideas. The Ideas Arabia Competition not only provides an opportunity for companies to benchmark against other leading organisations but it also acts as a motivational tool for employees to perform to their highest potential.
