First women’s Basket Ball League launched
The first Women’s Basket Ball League was launched yesterday with participation of six teams nationwide.
The Sharjah Women Club hosted three matches yesterday: Sharjah Women Club defeated Baniyas 77/58, Al Shabab Club beat Eastern Region 89/13 and Nasr Club beat Central Region 98/23.
Nada Al Naqbi, director of the sports section at the Sharjah Women Club said the participation in the Women’s Basket Ball League aims to develop the basket ball sports, especially among women.
