Dunia Finance has announced the launch of an endowment program, open to students in schools and universities as a mentoring platform for young business leaders.
The endowment initiative was launched by dunia following announcement of the 'Global Vision for Endowment', which was launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to revive the practice of endowment through innovative applications.
The concept of the Dunia Young Business Leaders endowment through efforts and resources comes from dunia in coordination with the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Center for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC) to strengthen the utilisation of endowment through innovative applications into projects that are not necessarily confined to traditional frameworks.
Based on this initiative, dunia will receive the Dubai Endowment Sign from the MBRGCEC, one of the key initiatives under the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiatives, in recognition of their contribution to the community as a model for private sector enterprises. This sign gives privilege for the private sector in procurement with Government of Dubai as per the directives of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. Schools and universities wishing to utilise this endowment can contact dunia directly.
Rajeev Kakar, managing director and CEO of Dunia Finance, said: "The Global Vision of Endowment launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to revive endowment as a developmental tool for societies has made us aware of new ways by which the private sector can enable growth and success in the society we live in. Among our many sustainability objectives, we are focused on providing long term benefits for the youth, primarily through education and hence the launch of the Dunia Young Business Leaders Program which we hope will serve as a sustainable platform for mentoring these young minds to achieve greater success."
