A source in the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: "We asked all dealers and traders who have trade links with Iraq to provide us with the documents required so that the Chamber can take the necessary action. Our aim is to protect the rights of our businessmen and suppliers who have been doing superb job with Iraq in the last few years."
"It is very important to take some serious steps in the right away to see if any of the traders have problems and to help them out of a difficult situation.
"We feel that it is our duty to provide our people with the assistance we can. We are waiting for them to send the details of the consignments, dates of the cargo, the product and the cost. The contract details should be forwarded to the Chamber's Commercial Legislations Department as soon as possible. A quick response by traders and suppliers will help us to process the matter in the right direction."
