Damac Properties awards Dh10.72m contract to IFG

DUBAI - Damac Properties has awarded a Dh10.72 million enabling works contract to International Foundation Group (IFG) for its Lincoln Park project (plots 12,16 and 25) at Arjan. Dubai World Security signs agreement with Bluesail

DUBAI - Dubai World Security (DWS), the security solutions arm of Dubai World, on Tuesday signed Memorandum of Understanding with Bluesail LLC, to provide training to the DWS Marine Division.

Under the agreement, Bluesail will develop and deliver a bespoke maritime training programme that will enhance and sharpen the skills and expertise of DWS's marine security personnel and senior officers.The advanced training programme will enabling all DWS marine personnel to achieve standards of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) National Powerboat Certification Level 2.

AHSG's new manufacturing facility becomes operational

MUSCAT - Work has begun on a new switchgear manufacturing facility being set up at Buraimi near the Oman-UAE border by Al Hassan Switchgear Manufacturing Company (AHSG).

The new facility is central to the company’s plans to be a “dominant regional player in the switchgear business,” Maqbool Ali Salman, Managing Director of the Al Hassan Group of Companies, said at the groundbreaking ceremony.

He noted that the plant’s strategic location on the Oman-UAE border would play a “critical role in realising Al Hassan’s objective of being a proud local Omani manufacturer with a region-wide reach through easy access to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.” AHSG has a 65 per cent share of the Omani market. Exports to the GCC countries account for 60 per cent of production, with the UAE accounting for 30 per cent.

DED launches 'Dubai Resources Business Directory 2008'

The business directory is presented in an easy-to-browse international format with the option of checking company listings by category or classification. The object of the Dubai Resources Business Directory is to create a simplified and manageable version of businesses in Dubai and further support the emirate's business community.
