The newly launched Curtin University Dubai will be holding an Open Night Lecture on the July 21. The event, which will be held at The Address Dubai Mall at 6pm, will feature an expert lecture from Dan Adkins, the CEO of Transnational Academic Group (formerly known as Global Institute Middle East) - Education Management Services Provider of Curtin University Dubai. The talk will centre on innovation and new trends that are being introduced to the tertiary sector.

Curtin University is Western Australia's largest university, with more than 58,000 students. Of these, over 15,000 are international students. The university's main campus is in Bentley near the Perth CBD. Curtin has five other campuses across WA, Malaysia and Singapore, with a new campus opened in Dubai in May 2017. Curtin also has presence at a number of other global locations. Curtin is celebrating '50 Years of Innovation' in 2017 - the combined history of the Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT), which opened its doors to students in 1967 and Curtin University, which opened in 1987.
Today, Curtin is estimated to be ranked 211th and in the top two per cent of universities worldwide, and 10th in Australia in the highly regarded Academic Ranking of World Universities 2016 (ARWU).
Curtin's emphasis on collaboration has seen it emerge as the most collaborative Australian university in the 2016 Nature Index. Nature also ranked Curtin the third-fastest "rising star" in research in Asia Pacific for 2016, and in the top 100 globally for growth in high-quality science research.
The University has built a reputation around innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit, being at the forefront of many high-profile research projects in astronomy, biosciences, economics, mining and information technology. It is also recognised globally for its strong connections with some of the world's largest companies, including Woodside, Chevron and Cisco, and for its commitment to preparing students for jobs of the future.
