Dubai: The ongoing Dubai Motor Festival (DMF) 2014 will shift into top gear this Friday (November 28) as the much-awaited Dubai Grand Parade, one of the signature attractions of this year’s DMF, unleashes an unrivalled motoring spectacle.
A breathtaking showcase of automotive masterpieces, the second annual Dubai Grand Parade will assemble over 600 luxury cars and bikes from the cream of the crop of global automotive marquees including Bugatti, Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Cadillac, Harley Davidson, Ducati, Triumph and more.
Setting off from Meydan at 3pm, the Dubai Grand Parade convoy will embark on a 47-kilometre tour of Dubai’s main arteries to provide a unique and memorable experience for thousands of spectators experiencing the citywide extravaganza.
The parade will be flagged off from Meydan by Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the Arab world’s leading motorsport figure and 14-time FIA Middle East rally champion, as well as Kris Fade, the breakfast presenter on Virgin Radio Dubai.
Setting the pace for the afternoon will be Dubai Police’s world-famous supercars, which will head the motorcade as it makes its way around the city before returning to Meydan, where spectators can get up close to the cars and enjoy photo opportunities at a specially-designed car gallery.
In addition to citizens from the newly included countries, the tourist visa has been extended to seven other categories
