Video: Angry mob thrashes cops after teenager is raped in Indian hospital

Uttarpradesh - The police officer was kicked and punched by a protester till he lost his consciousness

An angry mob attacked police officers in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh after a teenage school girl was allegedly raped at a hospital.
All this was captured in a video by eyewitnesses present and was shared on the internet.
After protesters gathered outside the hospital and got out of control, baton-wielding police officers were called to control the situation. But the mob soon turned on the cops and started attacking them.
The violent encounter between the protesters and the cops was captured by the cameras by eyewitnesses.
In the video, we can see the police officer being kicked and punched by a protester till he falls unconscious.
According to a report on Mirror.co.uk, the violence broke out after a 17-year-old was raped in the hospital's intensive care unit after being drugged by a ward boy.
