UAE Prepared for Security, 
Safety at Nuclear Plants

ABU DHABI - The UAE will provide special attention to security, safety and proactive preparedness to any emergency at their nuclear setups, Mohammed Khalfan Al Romaithy, Director General of National Emergency & Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA) said.

“The UAE under directives from its wise leadership is drawing strategic plans and introducing early warning systems for prevention and reduction of risks at time of crises,” he said in a statement on the sideline of the second Crisis and Emergency Management Conference 2010 (CEMC) in Abu Dhabi. “Among the top priority, the UAE is preparing early for safety and security at nuclear facilities. We have commenced such arrangements since the early moments of planning for using nuclear power for peaceful purposes,” he added .
