An Emirates Airlines spokesperson said, "Due to a public sector strike across Germany on Thursday, March 27, Emirates may experience minor delays on two of its flights out of Frankfurt (EK044 and EK046). Passengers are advised to check their flight status on www.emirates.com. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused."
Flights operated by Etihad Airways were also affected by the strike. In an update posted on its website, the company noted, "The planned 24-hour strike at Frankfurt International Airport on Thursday, 27 March, will directly impact our flights in and out of the airport. Etihad Airways is proactively implementing measures to minimise passenger disruption.
