The delegation visited the Red Crescent headquarters and the Charikar Hospital and provided medical assistance. It took part in the treatment of some emergency cases and attended work in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Meanwhile, Dr Abdel-Rahman Klantry, Chief of Afghanistan Emergency Authority, has requested the UAE team to train Afghan doctors, paramedical staff and emergency workers.

Lt. Col. Al Nuaimi expressed readiness to provide such training. The UAE team is now preparing a training programme for Afghan volunteers to deal with emergencies.
