Two men, woman arrested in murder case
DUBAI - The Dubai Police arrested two Nigerian nationals, a man and a woman, and will extradite a third in connection with the murder of a compatriot in his flat in Jebel Ali in Dubai.
The body of the deceased was found in a flatrented by two of the suspects and the victim. According to the police, the victim was murdered by his room mates after a dispute over a woman, who was arrested.
Brigadier Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, said that the third suspect was arrested by Egyptian authorities after receiving information from Dubai authorities.
He fled to Egypt after the murder and was arrested at the airport there. Al Mansouri said that the police rushed to the site after getting information on the crime.
The police information showed that the victim was living in the flat with two friends. The police arrested the first suspect along with a woman.
They confessed to thecrime and said that the third suspect fled to Egypt. During the police interrogation, they said that a dispute between the victim and his two friends over the woman led to the murder.
Al Mansouri said that the police officials managed to arrest the suspects in short time after the incident.
The Interpol Section of the Dubai Police passed the information about the third suspect to Egyptian authorities.
The Egyptian authorities currently are preparing extradition documents to hand over the suspect to UAE.
