The Australian airline is accused of illegally selling thousands of tickets for flights that had already been cancelled
Two persons were arrested and the raids resulted in the seizure of two machines loaded with pirated software, including Windows Millennium, Windows '98, Office 2002, Adobe Photoshop, Autocad and Norton Antivirus.
Several other pirated computer software discs were also seized.
"The two resellers were found guilty of violating the UAE copyright law by loading and trading in pirated software," said Scott Butler, CEO of Arabian Antivirus Alliance.
"The raid is a reflection of the efforts of Dubai Police to protect intellectual property rights and penalise the offenders in a bid to promote a healthy environment, support creative ideas and attract local and foreign investment into the country," he said.
The raid is part of a countrywide campaign launched by the UAE government to reduce and eliminate piracy, with the objective of issuing warnings to software pirates and educating end-users on the need of installing only original software on their PCs.
