Training for school students in Fujairah

FUJAIRAH — Shaikh Hamd bin Saif Al Sharqi, Deputy Ruler of Fujairah, was the chief guest at a ceremony held recently by Fujairah Police to mark the conclusion of the fifth training programme for school students in the emirate.

Called Police Generations, the programme aimed at educating the youngsters about the vital role Police forces play in the community and tapping their energy in useful cultural, social and recreational activities.

Lt. Colonel Ghanem Ahmed bin Ghanem, Acting Director of Fujairah Police, said around 130 students from grades 7th, 8th and 9th took part in the 45-day programme.

“The multifaceted programme was designed to strengthen the students’ spirit of loyalty to the homeland and raise their standard of awareness about a host of issues like narcotics, juvenile delinquency and dangers of traffic accidents, he added.
