The educational zones received instructions on Thursday to prepare the tests for teachers with each paper containing 200 questions.
The test papers, with a total of 3400 questions, are to be submitted to the Ministry of Education by Sunday.
The ministry last week tried to conduct e-tests for more than 3,000 national and expatriate teachers.
However, the system was overburdened and could not run the test for the majority while others only completed it after delays of about two hours.
The educational zones administrations have welcomed the ministry’s move. However, they said the ministry had not given them enough notice for the tests.
According to instructions to educational zones, Sharjah will prepare tests for Geology and Physics; Ajman for Math, English, Arabic and Chemistry; Umm Al Qaiwain for Sciences, Biology and Music; Ras Al Khaimah for Geography, History and Arts, and Fujairah for Psychology, Sociology and IT.
The questions will be saved on a CD and handed to the ministry on Sunday.
An agreement was reached with the Higher Colleges of Technology across the country to repeat the tests.
The ministry did not make clear what the status was of teachers who managed to complete the online exams.
