As Israel closed the border to achieve the goal of destroying Hamas, truck drivers fear the food could spoil
The eight-week festival was jointly organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) and Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
"ADTA and ADNEC have hosted an event of which the emirate of Abu Dhabi can be very proud of," said Shaikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of the two organisations — ADTA and ADNEC.
"The visitor feedback on the event has been very good. The visitor attendance has been outstanding and the event ran very smoothly. Everybody involved, from the sponsors to the performers and the operational staff, deserves to be congratulated for creating one of the most successful events staged in Abu Dhabi," said Shaikh Sultan.
The unique festival, designed around seven thematic 'islands' — Discovery, Imagination, Adventure, Fun, Creativity, Action, and Heritage and Culture — had something to offer for people of all ages, tastes and nationalities.
