The Sharjah Police have restored stolen steel and iron bars worth Dh700,000 to its owner. Eight people from various Asian nationalities have been arrested for the theft of the bars from a warehouse in Sharjah.
Most of the suspects are owners of steel and scrap outlets.
During investigation, the police found that a large quantity of bars were available at the warehouses of two companies specialised in the trading of scrap and steel materials. The owner of the first company said he had bought the bars from a person who had promised to give the bill later.
Later, the police found that the bars had been sold to several traders and they have all been arrested for purchasing stolen items.
