DUBAI — The hunt for young and aspiring models is on and 10 female and two male models would walk the ramp on August 21 if chosen at the Catwalk Star Search 2008. Prized modelling contracts also await the winners.
The competition is open to those above the age of 15 and entries would close on August 18. Entering the competition has been made easy by using the highly popular networking site, 'Facebook'. Entries can be made through a group on the site called 'Jane Norman Model Me' group. Entries can also be e-mailed.
After an entry is accepted, there would be an SMS voting system in place where friends could vote for a person by messaging 'vote' plus his or her full name to 6362.
Through this process, some of the contestants would be shortlisted for the final selection by the judges.
In addition to the modelling contract and fashion show, the chosen ones would also have a professional modelling portfolio shot.
Female winners will receive a Jane Norman wardrobe and male winners will be given clothes from the 'Fat Face' label.
