Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani has declined to head any inquiry commission being proposed to hold investigations into the questions raised in the Panama Leaks about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's children's offshore companies and foreign properties.
Talking to newsmen, Rabbani said the probe involves the expertise and economic know-how which he does not possess.
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and prominent PPPP leader while repeating his party's proposal for setting up a parliamentary panel, suggested that Rabbani could chair it.
Rabbani said being Senate chairman and belonging to the PPP, his being head of investigation would raise the question of conflict of interest.
