A decision to this effect was issued in pursuance of the instructions of Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed Al Mirri, Director of the Department.

It was designed to keep in line with the policy of the department to alleviate pressure on applicants and lessen the workload during this month.

Work, under this system, will be confined to the service sections, which include entry permits — visit and tourist visa, work visa, etc.

Other sections which will remain open during this time includes residency, public unit of follow up and investigation, electronic services, electronic gates for both individuals and companies.

The branches of the department located elsewhere will also work from 9am to 5pm during the holy month of Ramadan.
