Question: What is the injunction of Shariah in applying eyeliner while fasting?
Answer:  Jurists differ on this issue. According to the Hanafiyyah and Shafi'iyyah jurists, using eyeliners and eye drops do not break the fast because the eye does not have an open access to the stomach.
The Maliki and Hanbali jurists see that eyeliners and eye drops do break the fast if the fasting person finds its taste in his throat.
If you need to use eye drops or eyeliners, you may do so, and there is no harm, according to the Hanafiyyah and Shafi'iyyah jurists. And Allah knows best!
