The two accused tried to snatch money from an Asian in Souq Mourched in Naif area around 9.30am on July 23 but were arrested by a police officer patrolling the area.

The police officer testified: "I was on duty in the area on that day. I noticed the Ethiopians following an Asian. As the Asian passed several people, one of the accused blocked his way while the other tried to snatch his money. However, the Asian grabbed the second man's hand."

The man who blocked the Asian's way tried to flee but the police officer ran after him and caught him. The officer then went back to the Asian and made sure his money was intact.
